Candeo Colors Dive Bomb + China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

TGIFF! ;) Man, this week has been ca-raaaaaazy! I am so happy to have a weekend to relax & unwind. Today I have a super fun mani for you! Neons are a big part of my summer nail ensemble. I don’t own a lot of neons, nor do most neons look good on me, but they lift my spirits when it heats up outside.

Technically this is a post in which I use Candeo Colors Dive Bomb effectively, as I wasn’t feeling it over anything else but a neon. A turquoise neon, at that.

So this is one coat of Dive Bomb over possibly three coats of my favorite neon ever, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. I love layering glitter over this. I’m sure I posted something from last year with TUT. By the way, I love how the abbreviation I use looks like a face. :D

Even though I used three coats, TUT still looked super smooth and the solo glitter coat made sure you could see the neon shining through.

When I originally took photos of this, I was freaking out that the turquoise was not neon enough and not green enough. I had the same issues with Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction. Bright and vibrant colors just do not like my camera.

I really like the tiny blue glitter dispersed throughout my nails. It doesn’t get lost in the neon. One coat of glitter is perfect for what I was going for today. Large, medium, and small hexes in all sorts of colors.

Thanks for reading, & have a great weekend!

Candeo Colors Orchid

Hi everyone! This will be a pretty short post because I am so busy right now! I am getting my PLAYOFF NAILS ready for tomorrow night, and I am packing for my trip to Long Beach! Ahhhhh, I just don’t have the time for anything else!

I do, however, want to show you something neat. This is a polish from a smaller indie company called Candeo Colors called Orchid.

Orchid has a shimmery fuchsia base and is loaded with small copper, light purple, magenta and large silver holographic hex glitter.

This is two coats with no base color. It is incredibly gorgeous and shimmery. Is it pink? Is it purple? My camera can’t decide! (I mean, I know it’s fuchsia, guys. Just play along.) I love how opaque this is! I like how that small blue piece of glitter escaped the shimmery base and is just hanging out right there. It’s a rebel! This would totally be a cute pedicure color for the summer.

I was so bummed when I pulled this bottle out of my Melmer, and all the glitter sank to the bottom while it was sitting there. When I went to wear it on my nails, I didn’t get as much glitter as I wanted (and when you look at the bottle, you definitely want all that sexy glitter on your nails!). I should have turned the bottle upside down to re-suspend the glitter, but usually with glitters with a colored base like this, the glitter doesn’t seem to suspend as well.

Sorry this is such a short post. I don’t really know if I will be able to post anything on Friday, but I’ll try! Thanks for reading!
