China Glaze Pelican Grey + Glitter Gal Light As A Feather

Well, I wonder how many “summery” or “warm weather” manis I can post on the blog before it starts to get cold. Er, mild, I mean. Well, I guess today should be the last day since it’s 63F this morning, but it will get back up to the mid-90s next week, so…WTF mate.

Here’s another one (er, two) from Theo!

This is two coats of Glitter Gal Light As A Feather over two coats of China Glaze Pelican Grey. LaaF is the “white holo” of GG’s line. It’s not as strong as people wanted, so its popularity isn’t as massive as it should be. I haven’t really seen anyone else create or attempt a white holo, so I’m settling for this.

I originally waffled on getting Pelican Grey when it was first released, but I like the application more than I do Zoya Dove. It’s shimmery, which isn’t what I really want in my light gray, but I don’t mind because I do love me some shimmer. :)

I honestly don’t know what is up with me and gray. I love wearing gray clothes, and I am always on the search for the perfect light and dark gray nail polish. I really like gray! Maybe it’s because it’s always sunny in the desert, and gray reminds me of wetter (and colder) weather.

I had to take these in my kitchen to show off the (fairly weak) holo, but it is linear and it is very pretty! It reminds me of delicate and shimmery lace shawls that I’d eventually like to knit. I have such a large queue on Ravelry that I don’t know how I’ll get through it all. It’s getting to be quite intimidating, to be honest.

Thanks for reading!
