For some reason, the name of this polish reminds me of that one recent movie, Magic Mike. I have heard from a few people that the actual story (minus the good bodies and well-endowed-ness) is quite depressing and sad, which makes me not want to watch it. I am a horrible movie-goer; I don’t fall asleep in movies, but I cannot stand to sit in a seat for more than two hours watching something. If the story is depressing too, you can just forget it.
This is coming from someone who plays video games on Friday nights after work until one in the morning, by the way.
My queue for the new HAREs is almost done; I have worn everything so far minus my favorite, but I think I did save the best two for last and I can’t wait to fix up all my photos soon so I can show you.

This is two coats of HARE Polish Magic Mist over two coats of Zoya Mira. Magic Mist contains pink and orange hexes with purple and blue squares in a light purple base. It’s such a deceptive color sometimes; sometimes it looks like a light blue with way reddish undertones, but most of the time it is more of a lilac base. At least, that’s how I initially saw it.

I don’t own lilac or lavender polishes, but boy would they have been great under this polish. I should just own one and use it for layering, even though I cannot stand lavender! (The color, not the plant. Well, I don’t really like lavender as an ingredient also. I guess I like the smell is all. Poor lavender.) The true color of Mira was completely overshadowed by Magic Mist. I’m wondering if I should be layering these HAREs over anything at all.

Since I don’t like lavender, I don’t know if I’d wear it again…but I freaking love the glitter colors. There’s just something about purple and orange that just goes very well together.

After some feedback from readers, I have decided to change the RSS feed back to showing entire posts. I think partial posts on a feed started off as a test run, and then I forgot about it. The feedback I received was very helpful and constructive; while I myself usually click through to blogs to read and comment, whether my Google Reader shows the whole post or not, I’m not sure most people do the same as me. I was told that most people stop reading blogs where their RSS posts only show a small fraction of content, and don’t click over to finish reading because of internet/bandwidth issues, inability to read actual blogs on smartphones, etc.
I still want people to read. I don’t want to alienate readers by forcing them to click over to my blog to read something I’ve spent time writing. Believe me, I want you to read! Some people think the stuff I write comes naturally (you know, like vomit, except less messy), but like times like today I have to force myself to sit down and write (aside from describing polishes I feature on this blog), and hope that something funny comes out. Don’t make me resort to Youtube videos! I consider it cheating!
You know, like this:
Anyway, thank you for your feedback and support. As always, thanks for reading. <3
gah…is there anything that you DON’T make look absolutely amazing? And I think Magic Mist looks fab under Zoya Mira in these pics, so there! :P
YESSSSS, DRAGON AGE!!!!
I knew you would like that video ;D
I don’t like the summaries on some blogs because I don’t comment on every post of each blog I’m subscribed to in Google Read, but for the few that I do comment regularly, I don’t really care if it’s a full post or a summary, I’ll click anyway :)
Anyways…. I love Magic Mist! the mix of purple and orange is really pretty. I’m looking forward to your swatch of Rad Cloud :D
I don’t normally like orange, but I definitely had no issues knowing it was in this! :D Plus I think I am just used to Phoenix Suns colors (their uniforms are purple and orange).
Holy wow!!! This is so stunning on you
Thanks!! <3
ahahaha omg we’re like lavender opposites! the lavender scent from bath&body works totally turns me off, but i’m totally addicted to hot lavender milk tea with boba <333
i subscribe through bloglovin and your shots full of glittery goodness always entice me to visit :D i find their excerpts to be useless though… they're so short!
how opaque is the base for magic mist? maybe you can layer it over a light blue and it'll transform it into something awesome? :D
OMG, that sounds so delish. I wish there were boba places closer to me. Whenever I’m in Irvine, I think I’m at that Lollicup next to 85c EVERY DAY I’m there. It is so dangerous!
It turned Zoya Mira into a lighter color, so fairly opaque. Even though it’s opaque, I can kind of see my tips as if it were a jelly, even though I wrap them. I try to layer a base color underneath so I don’t obsess over it. I love your suggestion, though. I’ll have to try that out sometime!
I wouldn’t say it was depressing or sad … just … sobering. Also, I haven’t been able to look at ads for custom furniture since watching it without thinking of Channing Tatum.
ANYWAY, that’s a killer combo and something worth looking into! Do you think I would like it?
I think you would like it because I think it is a pastel-ish color that I could see you wearing. Why yes, I hope to complete my Rach-to-glitter conversion soon ;D
